The Suicide Squad Movie Review 2021
(Theaters/HBO Max)
The Suicide Squad. Directed by James Gunn. This movie manages to accomplish once suicidal goal: Bring entertainment to the audience. Following the inadequate Wonder Woman 1984 and HQ: Birds of Prey, this movie brings back the meaning of “Blockbuster” back for the DCEU. This movie follows a band of criminals infiltrating a base in order to destroy a project that could doom the world. With a great cast, the use of unknown DC characters, stunning visuals, and appealing music (listen to the lyrics in the scenes). The Suicide Squad surely brings this cinematic universe back in track. With only minor pacing issues holding this movie back.
Final Verdict : 8/10 (Amazing)
Mortal Kombat Movie Review 2021 (Theaters/HBO Max)
Mortal Kombat enters 2021 with strong action but badly executes it. As video game adaptations go, this movie wasn’t a faithful adaptation to its source material. Along with bad pacing and creative decisions that don’t fit the universe at all. That being said, the fighting and the costumes are this movie’s bread and butter, replicating moves from the games and not shying away from “Fatalities.” With better setup and universe expansion, this can turn into a great franchise, it’s just not a good first step. Only time will tell to see how this franchise will grow.
Final Verdict: 7/10 (Appealing)
Godzilla vs Kong Movie Review (Theaters/HBO Max)
In a literal rematch of the century. Godzilla vs Kong takes you in a wild ride of visual greatness and giant kaiju action. After a brief period of peace, Godzilla has been attacking humans seemingly unprovoked. Forcing a small group to discover the reasoning and uncover a conspiracy. Meanwhile, a team of scientists have taken to their own hands to uncover the mystery of the Hollow Earth using Kong for assistance. Unintentionally leading both monsters in a path to clash. While the action is great between the headlining monsters, the human subplot is barely passable, from comparing it to the previous movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Reprising actors either seem out of character or out of place. Plus the new characters leave a bad first impression. Overall this movie is still great and reignites the feeling of a kid playing with his toys.
Final Verdict: 7.5/10 (Fairly Appealing)
Zack Snyder's Justice League Movie Review
(Only on HBO Max)
Zack Snyder’s Justice League. A movie driven by the wills of Snyder fans. Taking 4 years to release against the wishes of WB. This movie sets itself to meet a challenge it easily fulfills. Being entertaining. After Superman’s sacrifice, Batman and Wonder Woman recruit new heroes to prevent an invasion destined to succeed. The movie being 4 hours long gives each individual hero enough time to be fledged out after a brief introduction, and backs up the great visuals with memorable music to give the scenes life. Each hero is redeemed from their 2017 theatrical performance. Only time will tell if there will be more to follow up and finish the story Zack Snyder started.
Final Verdict: 10/10 (Legendary)
Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales Review (PS5)
Marvel’s Spider-man: Miles Morales swings the next generation of videogames into greatness. Using the power of the Playstation 5 this game simulates an interactive movie. The music is also one of the best features of this game. As the story goes; Peter Parker leaves New York for a trip, leaving Miles Morales to protect it, and become Spider-man. As Miles struggles to gain his independence from Peter, a new threat seeks to destroy his home. Mixing elements from the previous game and improving on them, this game is a visual treat for fans of Spider-Man. Although his game is smooth, the main campaign falls too short since it’s about half the length of the previous game. Also the combat has no significant changes. Feeling too similar to the previous game.

Cobra Kai Tv Show Review
Seasons 1&2
Set 30 years after the events of the original The Karate Kid, Daniel lives a life of success while Johnny lives the life of a bum. Upon crossing paths with his rival again Johnny reopens the infamous Cobra Kai dojo and seeks to redeem himself from his past. Meanwhile new kid Miguel seeks to learn from Cobra Kai how to fend off his bullies and become confident. This series is a great treat to people who loved the Karate Kid movie franchise, as this show honors the past and continues the story with interesting characters and multiple arcs that put you on the edge of your couch. The fight choreography paces remarkably and nostalgia makes the show worth the watch. I await its 3rd season coming this January exclusively on Netflix.
Final Veridct: 9/10 (Epic)
Enola Holmes Movie Review
Enola Holmes. This new Netflix Original debuts the young and dashing sister of the well known detective Sherlock Holmes. Starring Millie Bobbie Brown, Helena Bonham Carter, and Henry Cavill. The story follows: being raised solely by her mother, Enola’s life wasn’t to the societal standard of women. Following her mother’s disappearance, Enola has embarked on a journey to find her. Much to the dismay of her two brothers. While following clues, Enola gets involved in a conspiracy that can decide the fate of the future of England.
While the overall acting from the cast is superb, the real “mystery” theme feels bland. This movie fails to really intrigue in the art of the mystery genre. And its unfortunate that the cast couldn’t carry this film. The film can seem to be a good watch when looking at it in an non-mystery perspective. A perspective that just enjoy the actors no matter how good or bad the script is.
Final Verdict: 6/10 (Decent)
Marvel’s Avengers Video Game Review
Marvel’s Avengers the video game. Developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix, Marvel’s Avengers takes everyone’s favorite superheroes in a new spotlight. The game engages a great story with realistic graphics that makes every character feel and look alive. Following the tragic events of “A-Day” the Avengers has disbanded. And new aspiring heroine, Kamala Khan must reassemble her heroes to stop a growing threat to the world. Story and graphics aside, this game fumbles a lot in its gameplay, and its multiplayer features. With a lot of rpg features combined with loot beater features, this game can’t figure out what it wants to be. Many games before has had multiple features of different genres cramped together. Launching with many bugs, glitches, and crashes. Almost all of them fail. Only time will tell if this game gets any better. Final Verdict: 6.5/10 (Fairly Decent)
Mulan (2020) Movie Review
Disney’s Mulan recaptures the great tale of Mulan in a graceful appeal. As the story goes; after a string of attacks, The Emperor has decreed that every family must contribute one man, to fight against a rising threat. Being too old and not having any sons, Mulan secretly takes her fathers place in the war and risks everything to save China. The music greatly captures the atmosphere and the choreography makes this film stand out on its own. It’s fair to say after learning from The Lion King (2019), Disney did a great job updating rather than copy and pasting this tale. Despite the changes from its previous 1998 movie, this new adaptation strikes true to the heart, for a great family fun.
For any wondering: I believe that the $30 premier Access is a great deal to support the movie. For a family it is a great deal, but if you’re the only one with an account, you can abide your time until its free release this December.
Final Verdict: 8.5/10
Tenet Movie Review
Christopher Nolan welcomes back all movie people with his newest project. As the master of Practical Effects, Tenet excels with stunning visuals, and a story to match it. While the pacing wasn’t the best, the atmosphere wasn’t broken. Despite delays, this movie was worth the wait. Final Verdict: 9/10
